Client Stories

Making Your Retirement Financially Secure.

These clients have agreed to share their story. Everyone’s situation is different, so their choices and outcomes will be different to yours. Consider your circumstances before deciding what’s right for you.

Most clients have different financial goals and objectives for their retirement years and at Financial Aspects we help guide clients through the retirement maze to ensure each of these goals is achieved both now and over the long term.

Recently we had an existing client couple whose circumstances had changed and they required a review of their financial position and minimisation of living costs. The husband was no longer able to look after his wife at home who has Alzheimer’s and who now required aged care. As aged care is means tested we were able to structure their affairs to reduce the amount of aged care fees and entry bond they would have to pay using some advance planning.

This allowed the husband to stay in his home with a reasonable income and his wife receive the care she needed with both receiving adequate income to cover their needs. However, often the outcome is more about lifestyle choices than money. The husband is free toremain in the family home with enough income to support himself and still be close to his wife and his wife is happier and far more independent than being housebound.

We have plenty of examples where we have helped people in their 50’s and 60’s set up for retirement and then later, as their needs change and new challenges arise, we review their finances to benefit their lifestyle.

Understanding our clients and their unique circumstances gives us the opportunity to organise bespoke financial solutions that give our clients peace of mind and security in their retirement years.
