Overview:
Farm succession planning, the process by which the ownership and management of the family business is transferred to the next generation, is one of the most critical - and inevitable issues in the life of any farm family. Many postpone acting upon a plan for succession; it can be somewhat intimidating in its complexity and magnitude. However, broken down into manageable steps a methodology can be developed for understanding the issues and preparing a succession plan for your future protection.
